I am not sure what to make of the so called sequel to the more supernatural based original. On a first viewing, there is some scope for seeing the film as having a degree of the supernatural. However, the producers still go with the reductionist view, even to the point of linking the sequel with the character in the first film, as having been treated by Tobin Bell's character.
The treatment of the story line has been extended with some great FX shots done on the cheap. This is a so-called low budget film, and yet it manages to make some high end production values. Ghost House Production has once again made a film work well on a low budget, just as it makes film work on higher budgets.
The DVD is very well done, with great sound, and some good commentary on the Producer/writer track; Its a pity that the Supernatural element was lost. |
