I hear the call of a Loon through fog rising off crystal clear water and a golden glow is cast on the surface by a spectacular sunrise. I glide past rocky bluffs where colorful flowers share the shore line with swaying cattails and green lily pads. I float silently toward tumbling rapids and a hidden waterfall, a blaze of red and yellow maple trees nestled in a pine forest cover a landscape dotted with white birch trees. A beaver appears and swims along the shoreline.



The mellow sound track, without narration and the beauty of the land with butterflies, birds and insects sets a stage that captures the feel of Native Americans who have lived in boundary waters for thousands of years. I feel the spirits of those who passed long ago as I paddle through their sacred land.
