George Romero's latest zombie epic Diary of the Dead is his fifth in the living dead series and it, like it's predecessors is outstanding. Romero is back at the top of his game with this entry. He hasn't been this good since Dawn of The Dead(and I'm talking about the original not the horrid remake). I loved every minute of it from the brilliant opening scene to the last minute. While I loved both Day of The Dead(again the original people), and Land of The Dead, this should have been the 3rd movie. I loved the documentary type feel and the over the top gore. The zombie's are once again slow moving(the way they should be, you dumbass dawn of the dead remake idiots). I loved the way they used a radio broadcast from the original Night of The Living Dead) which makes me wonder if this takes place at the same time that night was. Zombie lovers rejoice, George Romero's Diary of The Dead is a masterpiece. |
