Although I've seen both movies, I'm only going to comment on the former.
Dawn of the Dead 2004 rules. Best zombie movie ever. Best movie ever.
Within the first 20 minutes of the movie, there's already action, unlike most zombie movies where it takes at least 40 minutes to get to the good stuff (assuming that there is such to be found.) This movie has lots of memorable action in it, such as babies getting shot, hot girls getting chainsaws ripped through them, zombies getting impaled through the head.
Also, the zombies run, which makes them scary for a change (not like the pre-school inspired retard zombies of most other movies who can barely not walk into a wall.)
The movie is also laden with humor admist the zombie-scourging frenzy, which makes this movie not only an excellent action entertainer, but a comic one as well.
The only bad thing is that there is the usual hollywood unrealism, but the movie is designed to entertain so that's to be expected. Plus, how realistic can you get when you're talking about zombies running around eating people?
Dawn of the Dead 2004 is a damn good remake and worthy of you buying 500 copies. Now. |
