... hope that George Lucas, in his infinite wisdom, when assembling this film, will not make the same MISTAKE that he made with the Star Wars prequel films and say, "Hey, why don't we take some of John Williams' old, unrelated music from the OTHER films, and mix this in?"
As a diehard Williams fan, nothing was more irritating than watching "Revenge of the Sith" and seeing Yoda battle Palpatine, accompanied by COPIED music taken from Empire Strikes Back!
Now is Lucas going to do the same devious trick with "Kingdom of the Crystal Skull"? Oh how I hope not, but I don't think Lucas is beyond doing this. "Hmmm, maybe we can just reuse some of the 'Nazi submarine' theme in the new film..."
Honestly, what was the deal with Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith? Did anyone else other than me notice the grotesque reuse of music? Is it going to be the same thing with Indy 4?
I sure hope not. On the slim chance that Lucas reads early speculative film reviews on Amazon (hahahahahahaha) I'm hear to say: George Lucas, PLEASE do not edit John Williams music from Indiana Jones 4! Leave it all in the film exaclty the way he and the LSO seem fit to perform it! We do not need to hear the same music cut-n-pasted from a different, unrelated Indiana Jones films. Do John Williams' fans around the world a huge favor and put a leash on your music and sound editors. |
