I find Diane Lane, even at 41 years of age, to be among the sexiest women in Hollywood. Oh, and she happens to be a really talented actress. And John Cusack, the hero of the movie, certainly holds his own as well.
The movie plot goes like this: Diane Lane is a 8-month divorcee who got dumped by her husband (yeah, like that would happen !) simply because he didn't love her anymore. She has this overly protective and overly involved family that seems to have no day jobs and instead spend all their free time helping hook up Diane Lane (yeah, like she would need help !). One of the ways they help is to paste Diane Lane's profile into an online dating service that specifies, (yes, you guessed right), "must love dogs".
Among the many freaks of nature who respond to Diane's advertisement is John Cusack - an extremely recent divorcee whose best friend/divorce lawyer signs him up with the online dating service as well.
So they meet and it doesn't work out. They meet and it doesn't work out. They meet and it doesn't work out. And then, it finally does. Great. I'm happy for them. They look good together.
As far as movie quality goes, its alright. You can probably tell that I am not a fan of light romantic comedy, and so its hard for me to sing praises to any such film. But, for those who need a date flick or even a husband/wife flick, Must Love Dogs is a decent selection. |
